Merry Christmas!!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We've really enjoyed getting ready for Christmas this year. Except for our Christmas tree fiasco - but it will be memorable! Our 1st tree that we picked out died last week so I insisted that we replace it. I just couldn't have a dead tree for Christmas! So we got rid of tree #1 and on Tuesday, we picked out tree #2. It wasn't too bad for 2 days before Christmas - so I thought. It must have been soaking in some egg nog because we could not get it to stand up straight. So, yes it fell over once it was finally decorated. Lost some ornaments but luckily, no kids ;) We finally got it rigged yesterday and it looks great.
The kids threw their reindeer food in the front yard and left Santa some milk & cookies last night. This morning, Josh was the first to discover what goodies Santa left for them. He ran downstairs and started tearing into his gifts - all by himself. Luckily, we heard him before he was finished! So he woke up Katie and the fun began! Meg slept in so she missed the initial excitement but Josh and Katie were eager to help her open her gifts too :) They were busy all day playing with their new toys. Murphy even managed to get a couple of gifts from Santa - not so sure he deserved them ;) But he was a good boy today. We finished up with dinner and Greg and the kids made Jesus a birthday cake - yum! What a great day - it was so nice outside, definitely not Christmas weather but we never turn down warm days - especially in December.
